The 2004-05 Budget Act for California has appropriated $30,000,000 on a one-time basis for local educational agencies (LEAs) to purchase supplementary instructional materials for English learners in kindergarten through twelfth grade "to accelerate pupils as rapidly as possible towards grade level proficiency" in reading, writing, and speaking English.
DynEd, a California company, is a leading developer of award-winning multimedia English learning solutions for pre-K through Adults. Under the auspices of SB 1113, DynEd has submitted four (4) different courses which serve the needs of English learners of all ages and all proficiency levels.
Those four courses are:
- "Let's Go" (Elementary School: Beginning - Early Advanced)
- "First English" (Middle and/or High School: Beginning - Intermediate)
- "English for Success" (Middle and/or High School: Early Intermediate - Early Advanced)
- "New Dynamic English" (High School: Beginning - Advanced)
