United Industries is an American company. Its main products are rocket engines, satellites, and industrial robots.
United was established in 1960 by a small group of engineers. At that time it made aircraft parts, including small jet engines. In 1965 it started to make rocket engines. These engines were used to launch satellites into orbit. Since then it has opened up new factories and offices in Europe and Asia.
United's head office and main factory is in Seattle, where it employs more than fifteen thousand workers. United also has offices in Europe, Asia, and other locations around the world. In addition to its Seattle factory, United has factories in Montreal and London.
