Week Twenty-Three

The New Dynamic English radio course will help you learn English through listening to conversations with Americans.

This week, on New Dynamic English, Kathy talks with Sandy Steele, Jenny Chen, and Pat Miller.

Sandy Steele is a college student. He likes to listen to the radio when he studies. He also likes to watch old movies on television.

Jenny Chen is a fashion model. Today she is wearing a green jacket with a white blouse. Her favorite color is blue.

Pat Miller is a drama student at American University. Next month she's going to be in a radio play. They're going to perform the play on the university radio station.

This Week's Study Activity: Flags of Many Colors

This week, Jenny talks about clothing and colors.

Now look at the Easy Flag Identifier website, designed and maintained by Photius Coutsoukis.

Sandy: Let's see... I watch basketball ... and football.
Kathy: Any other sports, besides basketball and football?
Sandy: I sometimes watch baseball on TV.

Red is the color of the heart.
Jenny: It's the color of love and roses!

Kathy: How are things going?

Kathy: Is it difficult to act in a radio play?
Pat: Well, it's different from stage acting.
When the audience watches a stage play, they can see and hear the actors on the stage.
But in a radio play, the audience can only listen.
They have to use their imaginations.
