John Harris is Bob and Sandra Harris's son. John is a high school student. He loves gymnastics.

Collette Harris is John's sister. She's eighteen years old. She's studying violin.

Martha Harris is John and Collette's grandmother. She's a writer. She writes mystery stories.

Max: How do you get to school?
John: I drive to school on my motorbike.
Max: How long does it take you to get to school?
John: It takes me about fifteen minutes.
Max: How does your sister get to school?
John: She takes the bus.
Max: How long does it take her?
How long does it take her to get to school?
John: It takes her twenty minutes to get to school.

Kathy: You play the violin, right?

Collette: No, I don't. I practice at home... after school.
After school I come home and practice... from four thirty to five thirty.
Kathy: Are you taking lessons?
Collette: Yes. I have a lesson once a week.
Kathy: When is that?
Collette: My lesson is on Tuesday afternoons... at four o'clock.
Kathy: How long is the lesson?
Collette: It lasts an hour... until five o'clock. From four to five.

Martha: That's right. I never write in the afternoon or at night.
